This question may sound stupid. Yes it may sound stupid! But we all need to ask ourselves this question:

“Do I have the Holy Spirit or do I have enough of the Holy Spirit to carry me through the trying hours of midnight that is to come upon the earth soon?”

One good example we have in the Bible is to look at the Parable of the 10 virgins in Matt 25:1-13. It’s a popular parable so I need not tell you all in the passage. You need to read it yourself for new Revelation.

5 were foolish while the other 5 were wise.

We need not look at all the characteristics of these 10 virgins. They are faithful Christians who have the word of God in their hands which is represented as the lamp (Psalms 119:105).

Two unique characteristics is that they all have the burning lamp (the Bible) and the oil (the Holy Spirit) is already in their lamps. But the difference is that 5 wise virgins had ENOUGH Oil (Holy Spirit) to carry them through the trying hours in case the bridegroom (Jesus Christ) might delay his coming.

These wise virgins were regarded wise due to this one differentiating factor. The other 5 foolish virgins only have the Oil (Holy Spirit) in their lamp for that particular period of time. They did not make earnest effort to carry enough oil with them for the trying hours ahead, they feel comfortable with the degree of Spirit in them. They feel self-sufficient.

“But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.” Vs 5. They all faced weariness. They were all tested. They were all tempted. They all passed through the trying hours at midnight which is to come upon the Church of God.

But the differentiating factor is that the wise had ENOUGH OF THE HOLY SPIRIT to carry them through when the the test shall come upon them. The foolish virgins, though believers in the Bible, in Christ, in all the doctrine taught by Christ, they do not have enough of the Holy Spirit to stand the test. Due to this lack, the foolish virgins begged the wise to transfer little into their lamps, but friends, the Holy spirit CANNOT BE TRANSFERED to another.

ALL must resolve to have enough of the spirit to carry them through this last days. We all, must individually asked for the Holy Spirit to baptize us daily, hourly and every minutes. Before the foolish virgins went out among the true Church who have the Holy Spirit to buy from those who sell fake oil (false pentacostals who claim to have the spirit), they asked the wise virgins to give them part of their Oil but the wise replied: “No, lest there should not be ENOUGH FOR US and you.” (Matt 25:9, 10).

Character, grace and The Holy Spirit  can not be transferred by any mortal to another. When the Master, the Lord, the Bridegroom came In while they went to buy this oil, the Lord had shut the door (their was a close of probabtion) and they that were foolish were lost even though they had done so many good in the past for the Lord. We shall all be tested. It is only the fullness of the spirit in us that will see us through the coming sunday law crisis and the daily crisis we all face. If you think Christianity is just to have the Holy spirit once in a while, you had better think twice. I have always think in this manner not until I see this parable in this light. We all must have enough of the Holy spirit like Enoch to the point where the things of this earth will be swallowed up by Christ thoughts in us. It is in time of crisis that we reveal our character as the foolish virgins. Do you have the Oil in you or  you have enough Oil to carry you through in every temptation and test that will come upon you? You may think your morning devotions is enough for the day, my dear, when the test comes you will fall like withered leaf if you don’t have enough of the Holy spirit. Read the following:

“Character is revealed by a crisis. When the earnest voice proclaimed at midnight, “Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him,” the sleeping virgins roused from their slumbers, and it was seen who had made preparation for the event. Both parties were taken unawares, but one was prepared for the emergency, and the other was found without preparation. Character is revealed by circumstances. Emergencies bring out the true metal of character. Some sudden and unlooked-for calamity, bereavement, or crisis, some unexpected sickness or anguish, something that brings the soul face to face with death, will bring out the true inwardness of the character. It will be made manifest whether or not there is any real faith in the promises of the word of God. It will be made manifest whether or not the soul is sustained by grace, whether there is oil in the vessel with the lamp. Testing times come to all. How do we conduct ourselves under the test and proving of God? Do our lamps go out? or do we still keep them burning? Are we prepared for every emergency by our connection with Him who is full of grace and truth? The five wise virgins could not impart their character to the five foolish virgins. Character must be formed by us as individuals. It cannot be transferred to another, even if the possessor were willing to make the sacrifice.”– Review and Herald, September 17,1895.

“It is God’s purpose that everyone shall be tested and proved, to see whether he will be loyal or disloyal to the laws which govern the kingdom of heaven.”– selected message vol 3, 414.

“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” Matt 25:13 Ask for the baptism of the holy spirit every minutes as you eat, talk, dress, read, sit, or do anything because no one knows when that trying hour shall befall us. This is not the time for us to sleep or be lukewarm regarding this matter. It’s is a matter of life and death. The wise virgins were saved while the foolish virgins were lost. They were all Christians, having the save bible, doing all that is expected of them. They were all sincere in there service but God will not accept any thing less than fullness of the spirit in us to overcome all the cultivated and inherited propensities to sin. Keep the lamp burning by filling yourself with ENOUGH SPIRIT till Christ shall come again. Amen!
